Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Chocolate chip banana bread is a family favorite. I also make it fairly often because I buy only organic bananas which tend to ripen faster, and often find myself with a couple of overripe ones. There are never any complaints however, as at this point this recipe is an old favorite and both the kids and I love to eat it. Even a double batch of this stuff does not last long at our house.

Banana bread is a classic, and this chocolate chip banana bread is the perfect one to add to your repertoire. It has just the right density, is perfectly moist, and the chocolate chips give it just the right finish.

What you Will Need:

  • 2 cups Flour
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 Flax Eggs
  • ½ cup Vegan Sour Milk
  • ¼ Vegan Margarine (melted)
  • 2 Ripe Bananas (mashed)
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350°

In a medium sized mixing bowl stir together all of the dry ingredients.

In a separate bowl mix the flax eggs, sour milk and margarine. Then mash bananas and add to this mixture.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly, mixing the chocolate chips at the end so they are evenly distributed.

Pour into a greased bread pan and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Let cool on the counter, and then slice and enjoy! Yum chocolate chip banana bread!!
